Biography

Dr Christos Tziotzios, MA, MPhil, MB BChir (Cantab), PhD, FHEA, FRCP, a University of Cambridge medical graduate, is currently working as Consultant Dermatologist and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in Dermatology at St John”s Institute of Dermatology in London, UK.

During his medical training at the University of Cambridge, he was awarded a number of awards, scholarships and distinctions before securing a highly competitive postgraduate Academic Foundation post. He completed his Core (Internal) Medicine training at Cambridge University Hospitals before being appointed to his highly competitive academic post in Dermatology.

Dr. Tziotzios undertook extensive basic research prior to studying medicine: He read a rigorous Master of Pharmacy, graduated with First Class Honors and worked as Research Pharmacologist in Drug Discovery at Pfizer Global Research and Development (Sandwich, UK). His work in the Pharmaceutical Industry and his relevant academic background endowed him with a unique skill set and solid understanding of therapeutics and the drug development process.

He has completed a rigorous PhD in Molecular Genetics, which has culminated in multiple high-impact publications, including a first-authored original research article in Nature Communications. He remains active in clinical research with a focus on alopecia and holds his expanding expertise in Medical Dermatology.
